The phoenix-like thing is based upon Epidexipteryx http://scienceblogs.com/tetrapodzoology/2008/10/epidexipteryx_at_last.php , although you may not be able to tell. About 3/4 of the way through coloring it, I remembered why i hate using colored pencils on this sort of paper, and gave up. Better line drawing is needed for the future since I kind of like the idea.
